. president may be pushing new and improved obama care website. once it works, technically, will it be popular and successful policy? >> let's talk with robert wolf sits on president's export councils. he just discussed the affordable care act with the president yesterday. i mean, we all know, it has been a very rough road to begin with for the aca. what can be done to turn the public opinion about it when you have all these technical glitches to begin with? >> no question the technical glitches have made it difficult since the inception. this is 20% of the economy health care. it's not going to happen overnight. for me who's not a health care specialist, i look at three or four things that make it critically important. 3 to 4 million people uninsured, will be insured. the 100 plus people that get preventive care that don't have it and the 125 million plus people that have preconditions that will now have to not worry they won't get insurance. those are the things most important to me that is not someone worrying about the day to day website. not that it's not a problem.

this summer. it seemed like yesterday they got a big boost from president obama. >> last month, voters in new jersey decided to become the 20th state to raise theirs even higher. yesterday, the d.c. council voted to do it, too. i agree with those voters. i agree with those voters and i'm going to keep pushing until we get a higher minimum wage for hard working americans across the internet. >> president obama supports a $10.10 on minimum wage. certainly never mind $7.25. any sort of rates for their workers would end up getting passed down to the consumer in the way of higher prices for food. there are no hard numbers on this, but a burger would go anywhere from $3 to $3.50. that's the big debate. how big of a deal is that if the price of a burger goes up 50 cents? a lot of labor experts say it's not that big of a deal because a lot of these fast food workers use about $7 billion in social services a year. if they need less in those social services, you'll pay less into those social services, basically raising the bottom raises the whole. the protests are scheduled to start around 11:30. we'll

cabinet secretaries and senior staff move on. moving on to the longer view of president obama's eight years in office, "the national journal" has a recent headline. quotes the gallup news editor about approval ratings. where does the president stand on this issue of trustworthiness, and if that is a bigger problem than job approval right now? the start of his administration, this president made transparency and trustworthiness an essential part of his brand. he contrasted himself from the previous administration, weapons iraq thatstruction in did not appear. he said he was not going to be that kind of president, that he would be honest. his approval ratings were low, his trustworthiness was high, and that buoyed him in times when approval ratings were low. this year, because of things like you could keep your insurance plan, the nsa taken a hugeit has blow and has been hard to get back. without credibility, you have a hard time selling a plan that the iran nuclear freeze to a skeptical congress and to an increasingly skeptical congress. whites what worries the house more than others.

cities like chicago and new york are calling for wages of similar levels. i think what's driving this is what president obama called the defining challenge of our time in this economics talk yesterday. the fact is, the restaurant industry noted that the majority of the jobs our economy is creating are in these low payment fields like restaurant and retail. these aren't team jobs if they ever were. now tens of millions of adult americans spend their time cycling through these careers, these jobs. at $9 an hour, they're not sustainable. so what the fast food workers are calling for is a raise in pay and sit down with the industry for negotiationing a plan to transition to a higher wage, a higher productivity business model. >> how does the industry afford it? at the end of the day, higher wages is going to mean -- i mean, it's going to feed through and we're going to get higher cost of food, aren't we? >> so the road map for how to do this is what's happened with other similar industries in the u.s. in the big cities, they've been given more money through a similar model. there is
